“The light gold-hued 2017 Chardonnay Ysabella Bjork comes from the Columbia Valley and spent 20 months in 50% new French oak. It offers a savory, slightly exotic nose of mulled spices, quince, and caramelized citrus. This carries to a medium-bodied Chardonnay with a richer, mineral-laced style on the palate that carries nicely integrated oak, good mid-palate concentration, and a great finish. It’s going to shine for 4-6 years, if not longer” - Jeb Dunnuck
"The Girls" are made with NO pressing, it takes two tons to yield one barrel, there is no inoculation on either primary and secondary fermentation with no nutrient additions, minimal use of SO2 and the use of an OXO rolling system for lees incorporation instead of stirring. As a result of this extremely reductive winemaking to protect these wines, they actually NEED air to open.
